Hi! And welcome to Maria. We all love food. And it's precisely that love for food, that incomparable feeling of content after a glorious meal, that powers the fires of Maria. Food is the way we choose to communicate with the world, to express our culture and our dreams, to share our visions and illusions about the world. Food, and the rituals around it, is one of the main pillars of humankind. Food is simple but meaningful, for it takes much sweat, resources, and hard work of many human beings to bring food from the farm to the table.

Because of the rich diversity of our communities, it is important we support the flourishing growth of a multicultural society. Culture is one of the most powerful forces in our world. It's central to what we see, how we make sense of our world, and how we express ourselves. Food from the Caribbean, reinterpreted and made available to everyone

 

We wish to connect Australia with other cultures by collecting childhood flavours from the Colombian Caribbean, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Dominican Republic and create a space to reinterpret food from the Caribbean and make it available to everyone. We are proud of the diversity of our staff and the depth of experiences and perspectives they bring to us. We uphold the belief that we work best when we work together, and we will support each other in our efforts to learn and grow.

We are dedicated to maintaining sustainable business practices. We support local producers and look for opportunities to positively impact our social and environmental surroundings. We teamed up with suppliers that practice methods that encourage healthy soils, biodiversity and fair trade.

Our menu is scrumptious, nutrient dense, joyful and includes options for vegans, vegetarians and celiacs.
